Robin
Hood Marathon: 14th September 2008 The Robin Hood Marathon has been going for over 27 years Starting and finishing at Victoria Embankment, the runners pass many of Nottingham's historical and well known landmarks including Nottingham Castle, Wollaton Hall, and even running through Nottingham University’s Trent Building! They also pass Nottingham’s two famous football clubs (Nottingham Forest and Notts County) and Trent Bridge Cricket Ground then meander down the majestic River Trent. The full marathon will also take in the National Water Sports Centre and Holme Pierrepont Hall before making its way back to Victoria Embankment. |

Mid-June is a
good time to visit the
Farne Islands for bird photography. A good place to stay is Seahouses and use Billy Shiel's boats. Another place for you bird Photographers is The Bass Rock which is situated just off the coast at North Berwick. |
